Cashmere Production

Cashmere goat Iran Mongolia

Cashmere is a rare and precious fibre equipped with extraordinary properties, it is incredibly light and boats great thermal insulating potential, both from the cold and heat. It is obtained exclusively from the fleece of the Hyrcus goat, native to the mountainous regions of Asia; each goat only produces 150-200 grams of fibre per year, hence the reason why it is so precious.

The majority of the material is produced internally, always using raw materials which have been selected and checked both at the source and upon arrival at the company by highly qualified personnel. In this way, clients are guaranteed reliable advice on the cashmere products, such as the staple fibres and the cashmere by-products, ready for spinning to be used for knitwear as well as weaving.

In addition to staple fibres, Marshbird produces pure cashmere, cashmere/wool carded yarn which is consistently checked by the internal laboratory who guarantees maximum quality. The warehouse houses small quantities of ready-to-deliver products in all colours, even for orders specifying small amounts. All batches are certified in terms of composition and condition.
